Why Tiles Vary?
Tiles are manufactured in large batches and fired at very high temperatures. Because of this, there can be small but noticeable differences from one batch to the next. These variations are completely normal and part of the production process.
- Colour (Shade Variation):
Tiles can come out a little lighter, darker, or warmer in tone depending on the batch. Each batch is given a shade number so it can be identified. - Size (Caliber Variation):
During firing, tiles shrink slightly. This shrinkage can differ from one batch to another, meaning the finished size can vary by a fraction of a millimetre. Boxes are labelled with a caliber number for this reason. - Pattern or Finish Differences:
Printed and natural-look tiles may have slight differences in surface detail, pattern, or finish depending on the production run.

✅ Tip: Always order enough tiles from the same batch to complete your project, and keep a spare box or two for future repairs or replacements.
